Australia GDP On Tap For Wednesday
(RTTNews) - Australia will on Wednesday release gross domestic product numbers for the third quarter of 2014, setting the pace for a busy day in Asia-Pacific economic activity.
GDP is expected to have risen 0.7 percent on quarter and 31 percent on year following the 0.5 percent quarterly increase and the 3.1 percent yearly gain in the second quarter.
Australia also will see November results for the Performance of Service Index from AiG; in October, the index had a score of 43.6.
China will see November numbers for its official non-manufacturing PMI, as well as for the services and composite PMIs from HSBC. In October, the government survey had a score of 53.8, while the HSBC services index was at 52.9 and the composite came in at 51.7.
Japan also will see November scores for the services and composite PMIs from Markit Economics; in October, they were at 48.7 and 49.5, respectively. Japan also will release October data for loans and discounts; in September, loans were up 2.2 percent on year.
Hong Kong will see November manufacturing PMI results from Markit Economics; in October, the PMI score was 47.7.
