BRAZIL: Retail Sales Rise And Beat Market Estimates In March
(RTTNews) - Retail sales in Brazil rose 0.3% in March from a month before and posted an annual increase of 6.5%, according to the country's statistic office (IBGE).
The monthly reading was in line with market expectations, while the annual growth was higher than the analysts' forecast of a 5.30% rise.
The headline retail sales data in Brazil excludes vehicles and building materials. Without that adjustment, sales climbed 1.1% in March compared to February and rose 7.88% from March 2017.
