Fed Drops Pledge To Remain 'Patient' On Interest Rates
(RTTNews) - The Federal Reserve backed away from its pledge to "be patient" Wednesday, a strong signal that the central bank will hike interest rates in June or August.
The Fed said a rate hike in April is unlikely.
The move came despite concerns about the rapid rise in the U.S. dollar, which touched 12-year year highs against major counterparts this week.
