Sri Lanka Tourist Arrival Growth Sharply Slows In November
(RTTNews) - Visitor arrivals to Sri Lanka sharply slowed in November, registering the weakest growth for a month thus far this year, data released by the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority showed on Tuesday.
The number of tourist arrivals rose 2.8 percent year-on-year, following a 27.9 percent surge in October. In August and September months, arrivals registered strong growth of more than 26 percent.
In the January to November period, visitor arrivals totaled 1,016,228 compared to 883,353 in the same period last year. In the year 2012, the number of visitors were 1,005,605.
