3D Systems Q3 Profit Up On Higher Printer Sales, Matches View; Updates FY View

(RTTNews) - 3D Systems Corp. (DDD) said its third-quarter revenue grew 50% year-over-year on a 76% growth in printers' and other products revenue and 30% overall organic growth, resulting in GAAP earnings of $0.17 per share and non-GAAP earnings of $0.26 per share.

For the tri-monthly period, net income attributable to the company rose to $17.7 million, or $0.17 per share, from $13.5 million, or $0.16 per share, last year. On a non-GAAP basis, quarterly earnings per share were $0.26, an increase from the year-ago period's $0.21. On average, 13 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected earnings per share of $0.26 for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude one-time items.

Total revenue rose 50 percent to $135.7 million, from $90.53 million in the 2012 period. Eleven analysts estimated revenues of $132.04 million for the quarter.

Looking ahead, the company revised its annual guidance, increasing its revenue guidance to be in the range of $500 million to $530 million and, consistent with the step up in discretionary spending, reducing its non-GAAP earnings per share guidance to be in the range of $0.93 to $1.03.
