3D Systems To Acquire Additive Manufacturing Co. Robtec - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - 3D Systems Corp. (DDD), a provider of 3D printing centric design-to-manufacturing solutions, Wednesday said it has agreed to acquire a 70 percent interest in the Latin-American additive manufacturing company Robtec and the remaining stake on the fifth anniversary of the closing of the acquisition. The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The acquisition is expected to expand 3DS' global Quickparts service offerings reach in Latin America and incorporate 3DS' Latin American 3D printer reseller channel activities with locations in Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Uruguay and Mexico.

3D Systems expects the transaction to be immediately accretive to cash generation, and add to adjusted earnings per share within a year of closing.

Immediately after the closing, the company plans to transform Robtec operations into 3D Systems Latin America, and broaden its offering to include 3DS' design and manufacturing solutions.

The acquisition is scheduled to be completed within the next 90 days.
