Aaron Rents, Inc. Promotes John T. Trainor to Vice President, Information Technology, Aaron's Sales and Lease Ownership Division

ATLANTA, Dec. 4 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Aaron Rents, Inc. , the nation's leader in the sales and lease ownership, specialty retailing and rental of residential and office furniture, consumer electronics and home appliances and accessories, today announced that John T. Trainor has been promoted to Vice President, Information Technology, Aaron's Sales and Lease Ownership Division. He previously was IT director of application development.

Trainor has more than 16 years experience in information technology, beginning at Georgia Power Company in 1991. He served as manager of information systems for the late U.S. Senator Paul D. Coverdell from 1996 to 1997 and then worked in software development at the Southern Company until joining Aaron Rents in 1999. He has provided leadership in development of software for Aaron's stores and the design and management of enterprise systems for the Company.

Trainor holds a bachelor of electrical engineering degree with specialization in computer systems from the Georgia Institute of Technology and lives in Roswell, Georgia with his wife and three sons.

Aaron Rents, Inc., based in Atlanta, currently has more than 1,525 Company-operated and franchised stores in 48 states and Canada for the rental and sale of residential and office furniture, accessories, consumer electronics and household appliances. The Company also manufactures furniture, bedding and accessories at 13 facilities in five states.
