ADTRAN Q3 Profit Rises - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - ADTRAN, Inc. (ADTN) reported net income for the third quarter of $16.21 million or $0.28 per share, higher than $9.27 million or $0.15 per share for the year-ago quarter.

Excluding items, adjusted earnings per share for the quarter were $0.32, compared to $0.20 in the prior year quarter.

Sales for the quarter grew to $177.40 million from $162.13 million a year ago.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.22 per share on revenue of $173.83 million for the quarter.

The company also declared a cash dividend of $0.09 per common share for the second quarter, payable on November 7 to holders of record at the close of business on October 24, 2013.
