(RTTNews) - Advent Software, Inc. (ADVS) reported that its second-quarter net income decreased to $12.6 million or $0.24 per sahre, compared to net loss of $4.0 million or $0.08 per share in the prior year period.

Non-GAAP net income for the latest second quarter rose to $20.3 million or $0.38 per share from $19.7 million or $0.37 per share in the comparable quarter last year. On average, five analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report profit per share of $0.34 for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Quarterly revenue increased to $100.37 million from $96.12 million, previous year, while five analysts expected revenue of $97.82 million for the quarter.

For fiscal 2014, Advent updated its revenue guidance and now expects its total revenue in the range of $395 million to $403 million. Analysts expect the company to report second-quarter revenue of $398.99 million.
