AerCap Q3 Profit Jumps Due To ILFC Transaction

(RTTNews) - Dutch aircraft lessor AerCap Holdings N.V. (AER) said its third-quarter 2014 reported net income surged to $340.9 million, from $83.6 million for the same period in 2013. Quarterly reported earnings per share were $1.59, significantly higher than $0.73 for the same period in 2013. The growth in both net income and earnings per share were mainly due to the ILFC transaction.

For the recent quarter, adjusted net income amounted to $315.8 million, or $1.49 per basic share. On average, 9 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report earnings of $1.16 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Total revenues and other income surged significantly to $1.25 billion in the quarter, from the prior year's $279.37 million. Analysts had a consensus revenue estimate for the quarter of $1.25 billion.
