After-market Movers For Feb 5 (DIS, GMCR, AKAM, TWTR, P, SODA)
(RTTNews) - Gainers:
Walt Disney Co. (DIS) rose nearly 4 percent to $74.50. The company's first quarter earnings and revenues were higher than the same period a year earlier and were above Wall Street view.
Green Mountain Coffee Roasters, Inc. (GMCR) jumped 54 percent to $124.50 following the news that Coca-Cola Co. (KO) will take a 10 percent minority equity stake in the company for about $1.25 billion. The companies have signed a 10-year global strategic partnership. GMCR's first quarter adjusted earnings per share topped Wall Street view, while sales missed the consensus estimate. The company forecast second quarter earnings below Street view and fiscal year 2014 earnings in line with analysts' estimate.
Akamai Technologies, Inc. (AKAM) gained 17 percent to $55.60 based on the news that its fourth quarter results topped analysts' estimates.
Decliners:
Twitter, Inc. (TWTR) fell 17 percent to $54.39. The company's fourth quarter net loss widened from the year-ago quarter. On an adjusted basis, the company reported a profit in its first quarterly report post-IPO. Revenue for the quarter jumped 116 percent and topped the consensus estimate. The company also forecast first quarter and full year 2014 revenue above analysts' expectations.
Pandora Media, Inc. (P) was down 10 percent to $32.30. The company's calendar fourth quarter earnings and sales were higher than in the year-ago quarter. The company raised its fiscal year 2014 guidance, but below analysts' expectations.
SodaStream International Ltd. (SODA) was down 7 percent to $33.28 in reaction to Coca-Cola and Green Mountain Coffee Roasters deal.
