AGL Resources Slips To Loss In Q3; Cuts Full-Year Earnings View - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - AGL Resources Inc. (GAS) Monday reported third quarter net loss attributable to the company of $8 million or $0.06 per share, compared to net income of $25 million or $0.21 per share in the same period last year.

Excluding Tropical Shipping sale impact and wholesale services, the company reported earnings per share of $0.22, compared to $0.21 per share last year.

Operating revenues for the latest third quarter rose to $589 million from $574 million a year earlier.

For 2014, the company lowered its earnings guidance, excluding wholesale services segment, to a range of $2.60 to $2.70 per share from its prior range of $2.80 to $2.90.

The company continues to expect the full year 2014 GAAP EPS contribution from the wholesale services segment to be between $1.60 and $1.75, excluding the impacts of mark-to-market accounting over the remainder of the year.
