Alon USA Energy Slips To Loss In Q4 - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Alon USA Energy, Inc. (ALJ) reported that its fourth quarter net loss available to stockholders was $14.0 million, or $0.21 per share, compared to net income of $22.2 million, or $0.35 per share last year.

Excluding special items, Alon recorded net loss of $8.0 million, or $0.12 per share, compared to net income of $36.1 million, or $0.58 per share in the year-ago period. On average, nine analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.15 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Revenues dropped to $1.83 billion from $1.95 billion last year. Analysts expected revenues of $1.75 billion.
