Altera Q4 Profit Declines - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Altera Corp. (ALTR) Thursday reported fourth-quarter profit of $98.9 million or $0.31 per share, down from $120.8 million or $0.37 per share in the comparable quarter last year.

On average, 26 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.20 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Sales rose 3 percent to $454.37 million from $439.44 million last year, while 24 analysts expected revenues of $442.07 million.

Further, Altera's board of directors has declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.15 per share, to be paid on March 3, 2014 to stockholders of record on February 10, 2014.
