Amazon's Brian Matsubara to Keynote Survey Summit

REDLANDS, Calif., June 26, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Brian Matsubara, head of Global Technology Alliances at Amazon Web Services, will keynote the Survey Summit July 6–9 in San Diego, California. The Survey Summit attracts a geospatial community that works with high-accuracy mapping, surveying, and civil engineering. This year, the event will focus on modernizing business with technology such as lidar, 3D, GPS, GIS, and the cloud. Following the Survey Summit, attendees can join the Esri International User Conference (Esri UC) Plenary Session and Map Gallery, along with paper sessions on survey; architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC); and land records.

At the Survey Summit, Matsubara will discuss how Amazon, the world's largest online retailer, got its start and tell about what it's like to work there, including company culture and leadership principles. He will give insight into how Amazon moves forward with emerging technologies and will share some of the lessons he has learned along the way.
