Ameren Corp Q3 Earnings Rise 17%

(RTTNews) - Ameren Corp (AEE) released a profit for its third quarter that climbed compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line advanced to $343 million, or $1.41 per share. This was up from $293 million, or $1.20 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $1.30 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 9.6% to $1.83 billion. This was up from $1.67 billion last year.
