Ameren Q4 Profit Tops View - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Electric utility Ameren Corp. (AEE) Wednesday said fourth-quarter attributable net income grew to $48 million from $37 million in the prior year. Earnings per share rose to $0.20 from $0.15.

Earnings per share from continuing operations was flat with last year at $0.19. On average, six analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected earnings of $0.14 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Operating revenues grew to $1.370 billion from $1.322 billion in the prior year. Analysts expected revenues of $1.44 billion.

Ameren expects earnings per share for 2015 to be in a range of $2.45 to $2.65 and continues to expect earnings per share from continuing operations to grow at a 7 to 10 percent compound annual rate from 2013 through 2018. Wall Street looks for earnings of $2.55 per share for 2015.
