Ameren Raises FY16 Earnings Outlook - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - While reporting its third-quarter financial results today, electric and gas utility Ameren Inc. (AEE) raised its earnings outlook for fiscal 2016, citing strong year-to-date results.

For fiscal 2016, Ameren now expects earnings in a range of $2.65 to $2.75 per share, an increase from its prior range of $2.45 to $2.65 per share. The updated outlook continues to include an estimated 15 cents per share reduction related to the expected temporary net effect of significantly lower electric sales to the New Madrid smelter.

On average, ten analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expect earnings of $2.56 per share for the year. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
