America: Budweiser's Corniest Marketing Campaign Yet
(RTTNews) - Anheuser-Busch, the maker of Budweiser, is taking its marketing tactics to the next level as the beverage giant Tuesday announced that it is replacing the Budweiser logo with "America" on its 12-oz. cans and bottles this summer.
The company said "the new packaging pays tribute to the hard-working spirit of Americans as part of Budweiser's "America is in Your Hands" movement."
"Here's to America the beautiful. Hold her high this summer." the company tweeted on its Twitter handle.
The new packaged beer cans will be on shelves nationwide from May 23 through the election in November.
In mid-1800s, German immigrant Adophus Busch and his father-in-law Eberhard Anheuser developed the Budweiser beer and started the Anheuser-Busch Company. In 2008 Belgium-based InBev bought Anheuser-Busch for $52 billion.
