American Campus Communities Q1 FFO Rises - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - American Campus Communities, Inc. (ACC) Tuesday said first-quarter funds from operations, or FFO, increased to $73.8 million or $0.69 per share from $68.5 million or $0.64 per share in the same period last year.

FFOM for the quarter was $70.9 million or $0.66 per share. On average, 12 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report FFO of $0.64 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Earnings for the quarter increased to $28.4 million or $0.27 per share from $21.6 million or $0.20 per share last year.

Revenues totaled $183.2 million, up 12.3 percent from $163.2 million last year. Analysts expected revenues of $171.13 million.

Looking ahead, the company continues to project full-year 2014 FFO in a range of $2.31 to $2.39 per share, with FFOM ranging between $2.27 and $2.35 per share. Analysts currently expect full-year FFO of $2.33 per share.
