Asbury Automotive Posts Higher Q3 Profit

(RTTNews) - Asbury Automotive Group, Inc. (ABG) reported net income for the third quarter of $32.5 million or $1.08 per share, compared to $22.7 million or $0.73 per share for the year-ago quarter.

Income from continuing operations for the third quarter was $32.4 million or $1.08 per diluted share, compared to adjusted income from continuing operations in the third quarter of 2013 of $28.3 million or $0.91 per share.

Total revenues for the third quarter increased 8% to $1.51 billion from $1.39 billion a year ago.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reutesr expected the company to earn $1.07 per share on revenue of $1.51 billion for the third quarter.
