Ascent Media Group Appoints Jose Royo Chief Technology Officer; Richard Andrews Named Chief Operating Officer for Global Media Services

Ascent Media Group (AMG) has announced the appointment of Jose Royo as Chief Technology Officer. AMG has also named Richard Andrews as Senior Vice President/Chief Operating Officer for Global Media Services. Royo will provide the overall vision for technology strategy and oversee the execution of technical aspects for all of AMG’s operating entities. He will head long-term technology planning and partnership efforts, and hold day-to-day responsibility for global IT operations and infrastructure. He will also lead the Company’s digital services initiatives. Royo previously served AMG as Senior Vice President, Digital Services. In his six-year tenure with the Company, he also headed the Digital Media Center and the company’s New Products Group. Andrews brings more than 25 years of post-production experience to AMG and most recently served as President of Technicolor Creative Services. In his new role, he will oversee operations at AMG facilities in the United States and internationally that provide digital media services, including Digital Media Data Center (Burbank and Northvale, New Jersey), Blink Digital (New York and Los Angeles), Cinetech (Valencia, California), Ascent Media Wardour Street and Hawley Crescent (London), Stream (London) and Visiontext (London and Los Angeles).
