Astec Industries Q2 Earnings Advance 54%

(RTTNews) - Astec Industries (ASTE) released a profit for its second quarter that increased from last year.

The company said its bottom line rose to $18.19 million, or $0.79 per share. This was higher than $11.81 million, or $0.51 per share, in last year's second quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.75 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 9.8% to $294.39 million. This was up from $268.04 million last year.
