Astec Industries Reveals 19% Rise In Q3 Profit

(RTTNews) - Astec Industries (ASTE) reported earnings for its third quarter that climbed compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line came in at $2.29 million, or $0.10 per share. This was up from $1.92 million, or $0.08 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.27 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter fell 4.0% to $211.35 million. This was down from $220.16 million last year.
