Balance Point Capital Partners Names Justin M. Kaplan as Partner

WESTPORT, Conn., July 9, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Balance Point Capital Partners L.P. ("BPCP"), a leading provider of capital to lower middle market companies located throughout the United States, is pleased to announce that Justin M. Kaplan has joined the BPCP team as a Partner.

Mr. Kaplan brings an extensive background in providing investment capital to the lower middle market.  For the past nine years, Mr. Kaplan has worked at BNY Mellon Alcentra Mezzanine Partners where he was responsible for transaction sourcing, deal execution and the monitoring of portfolio companies.  Mr. Kaplan began his career in the investment banking group of Veronis Suhler Stevenson, an independent investment bank and private equity fund specializing in the media industry.

Mr. Kaplan earned a B.A. from Cornell University and was a recipient of the Cornell Fellowship Scholarship.
