Belden's Peter Sheehan Becomes Global Vice President, Sales and Marketing

ST. LOUIS, May 11 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Belden announced today that Peter Sheehan, currently President, Belden Americas Division, will move to the new role of Global Vice President, Sales and Marketing, effective immediately. He will continue to report to John Stroup, President and Chief Executive Officer. In his new role, Mr. Sheehan will have worldwide responsibility for global accounts, channel management, vertical market strategies, and brands. Additionally, he will oversee and provide global leadership for Belden's sales and marketing execution across all brands and regions. Mr. Sheehan has served as a division president since the 2004 merger of Belden and Cable Design Technologies (CDT), and he was previously Executive Vice President of CDT.

Denis Suggs will join Belden as President, Belden Americas Division, also reporting to Mr. Stroup. Since 2003, Mr. Suggs has served with Danaher Corp. as President of Danaher's Portescap subsidiary, a multinational designer and manufacturer of miniature and micro motor systems sold to medical, aerospace, defense, HVAC and other markets. He was previously Senior Vice President, Operations, with Public Storage Inc., and has earlier operations and engineering experience with IBM.
