Bemis Q2 Earnings From Cont. Opns Rises - Quick Facts
(RTTNews) - Bemis Company, Inc. (BMS) reported that its income from continuing operations for the second quarter 2015 increased to $65.6 million or $0.67 per share from $60.7 million or $0.60 per share last year. Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report earnings of $0.68 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
Net income for the quarter was $65.6 million or $0.67 per share compared to $65.8 million or $0.65 per share in the prior year.
Net sales were $1.030 billion down from $1.098 billion in the previous year. Wall Street expected revenues of $1.05 billion.
The company expects full year adjusted earnings per share to be in the range of $2.52 to $2.62, as compared to the previous range of $2.52 to $2.67. Analysts expect annual earnings of $2.59 per share.
The company raised its capital expenditures outlook for 2015 to be in the range of $200 million to $215 million, an increase from its previous outlook of $185 million to $200 million. This increase reflects the improved timing of executing planned projects to support growth and operational efficiency.
