Bertelsmann Unit Acquires Carbel LLC And United Customs Services - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Bertelsmann said its subsidiary Arvato has announced acquisition of the U.S. third-party logistics provider Carbel LLC as well as United Customs Services. A total investment of eight billion euros is planned. The company noted that these acquisitions in the U.S. follow Arvato's recent takeover of ATC Computer Transport & Logistics.

Carbel LLC offers custom warehousing, distribution, storage, and transportation services and operates from its six strategically located facilities in Florida, Pennsylvania, California, and New York. United Customs Services offers complete import and export solutions. The company specializes in Remote Location Filing across the U.S., customs clearance, and trade compliance.
