Black Hills Corp Bottom Line Rises 32% In Q1

(RTTNews) - Black Hills Corp (BKH) revealed a profit for its first quarter that climbed from last year.

The company said its bottom line totaled $63.8 million, or $1.23 per share. This was higher than $48.3 million, or $1.08 per share, in last year's first quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.99 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 1.8% to $450.0 million. This was up from $442.0 million last year.
