Blue Nile Earnings Rise 4% In Q4

(RTTNews) - Blue Nile (NILE) announced a profit for its fourth quarter that rose compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line came in at $5.04 million, or $0.43 per share. This was up from $4.83 million, or $0.41 per share, in last year's fourth quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.43 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter fell 4.8% to $149.97 million. This was down from $157.46 million last year.
