Boyd Gaming Corp. Q4 Profit Decreases, but beats estimates

(RTTNews) - Boyd Gaming Corp. (BYD) released earnings for fourth quarter that decreased from the same period last year but beat the Street estimates.

The company's earnings came in at $92.6 million, or $0.94 per share. This compares with $172.7 million, or $1.63 per share, in last year's fourth quarter.

Excluding items, Boyd Gaming Corp. reported adjusted earnings of $163.8 million or $1.66 per share for the period.

Analysts on average had expected the company to earn $1.47 per share, according to figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company's revenue for the quarter rose 3.4% to $954.4 million from $922.9 million last year.
