Campus Advantage Establishes Asset Management Team; Promotes Jennifer Cassidy to Senior Vice President

AUSTIN, Texas, Dec. 14, 2016 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Campus Advantage, a leader in student housing, providing property management, consulting, acquisitions, and development, today announced the creation of a new Asset Management team. Located within the Investments Division, Campus Advantage developed the new team in response to market demand and the increase in asset manager role requests.

Campus Advantage also announced the promotion of Jennifer Cassidy to Senior Vice President. In this new role, Cassidy will oversee the new Asset Management team and manage the execution of the strategic plan identified for each asset, while both guiding and demonstrating the Campus Advantage mission to lead the world in creating successful communities. Additionally, she will work hand in hand with the operations team to continually identify opportunities to create value and further enhance the strategic plan for each asset.

Cassidy joined the Campus Advantage team in 2005 as a General Manager and earned several advancements throughout her career, which now includes executive leadership. This promotion is thanks in part to the outstanding operational performance achieved under the company's owned asset portfolio.

"I'm honored to receive this promotion and look forward to applying my background to this new role and team," said Cassidy. "My operations experience will help make sure that plans not only look good on paper, but are also operationally viable for the company. I'm fortunate I found a fulfilling career among not only a team of coworkers I enjoy, but also a leadership team that shares my values. Work-life balance is huge to me. I have two young children and want to be involved in their activities as much as possible. A lot of places talk the talk when it comes to work-life balance, but these people walk the walk. The way Campus Advantage treats its employees sets the tone, and you can see the positive effect this makes in the dedication of the team."

Joining Cassidy on the Asset Management team are Chris Semper, Director of Investments, and Erin Westhoff, Vice President of Asset Management.

Semper recently joined Campus Advantage in November and will report directly to Cassidy. Semper previously worked for Austin-based private equity firm Virtus Real Estate Capital where he managed approximately 20 student housing/multifamily investments.

In Westhoff's new role, she oversees the Saban Real Estate asset portfolio and also reports directly to Cassidy. Westhoff joined Campus Advantage in early 2016 as Director of Operations. Prior to joining Campus Advantage, Westhoff was an Asset Manager at SNC-Lavalin Operations & Maintenance, a subsidiary of SNC-Lavalin in Canada.

"Jennifer is a great addition to our executive team and I am excited for her to lead our new Asset Management team," said Mike Peter, President and CEO of Campus Advantage. "Her notable contributions over the last 11 years have continuously displayed the characteristics we seek in our employees; intelligence, integrity, and passion to help us create successful student housing communities. With the addition of Chris and Erin to the Asset Management team, I am even more confident in our ability to maintain and enhance the level of service we provide our clients."

Campus Advantage plans to add dozens of new team members at its Austin, Texas headquarters over the next several months.
