CGG Names Rémi Dorval Chairman, Replacing Robert Brunck - Quick Facts
(RTTNews) - French geoscience company CGG SA's (CGG) board, at the request of its Chairman, Robert Brunck, met on March 26th. As Brunck would soon hit the age limit set by the Company's articles of association for the Board Chairman, CGG's board has unanimously decided to appoint Rémi Dorval, currently a director of the company, to succeed as CGG's Chairman. This would come to effect at the end of the next Annual Shareholders' Meeting, that is due to be held on June 4th, subject to the renewal of Rémi Dorval's term of office by this Shareholders' Meeting.
At the same Board Meeting, CGG's board renewed for a period of 3 years Jean-Georges Malcor's term of office as Chief Executive, expiring on June 4, so that he can implement CGG's performance and strategic repositioning plan.
