Chemed Profit Meets Estimate - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Chemed Corp (CHE), a provider of hospice and palliative care services, Tuesday reported first-quarter net earnings of $20.6 million or $1.12 per share compared with $22.3 million or $1.17 per share last year.

Excluding items, adjusted earnings for the quarter were $01.32 per share.

Revenues for the quarter were lower 2.3% at $358 million compared with $366 million in the prior year.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters estimated earnings of $1.32 per share on revenues of $356.8 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Looking ahead to fiscal year 2014, the company expects adjusted earnings of $5.90 to $6.10 per share, while analysts $5.90 per share.
