China Telecom Annual Profit, Revenue Rise - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - China Telecom Corporation Limited Wednesday said full year profit attributable to equity holders of the company climbed to 17.55 billion yuan from 14.95 billion yuan.

Basic earnings per share grew to 0.22 yuan from 0.18 yuan. Prior-year results have been restated.

Operating revenues increased to 321.58 billion yuan, up 13.6 percent from last year's 283.18 billion yuan.

Excluding mobile terminal sales, operating revenues jumped 10 percent to 284.15 billion yuan. According to the company, revenue growth surpassed industry average and revenue market share further increased.

Total number of mobile subscribers increased 15.5 percent to 186 million, while that of wireline broadband subscribers improved 11.1 percent to 100 million.

The Board of Directors has decided to recommend a dividend equivalent of HK$0.095 per share for the year. Dividend per share increased by 11.8 percent from 2012.
