Cincinnati Financial Q4 Profit Declines - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Cincinnati Financial Corp. (CINF) Wednesday reported fourth-quarter net income of $122 million or $0.74 per share, compared to $192 million or $1.17 per share in the same quarter last year.

Operating income for the quarter was $119 million or $0.72 per share, down from $183 million or $1.11 per share in the prior year period. On average, seven analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.69 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Revenues improved 10 percent to $1.17 billion from $1.07 billion last year, while four analysts expected revenues of $1.14 billion.

Earned premiums totaled $1.03 billion, up 12 percent from $917 million last year.
