City National Q3 Profit Rises - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - City National Corp. (CYN) Thursday reported third-quarter profit of $63.6 million, up 6 percent from $59.8 million in the same period last year. On a per-share basis, earnings were $1.10, flat with last year.

Revenues dropped 4 percent to $303 million from $317 million last year. Analysts expected revenues of $302.81 million.

Net-interest income improved 2 percent to $220.0 million from $210 million last year. Net-interest margin was 3.30 percent, compared to 3.24 percent last year. Non-interest income totaled $88.9 million, down 17 percent from last year.
