CNX Gas Promotes Robert M. Belesky

PITTSBURGH, June 28 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- CNX Gas Corporation announced that Robert M. Belesky has been promoted to Vice President - Business Development.

Stephen W. Johnson, senior vice president and general counsel, said, "Bob has been instrumental in identifying and consummating transactions that have significantly increased our strategic acreage positions, including the recent Atmos and Peabody deals. In the past 12 months, CNX Gas has seen its acreage position grow from 2.4 to 3.6 gross million acres, or an increase of 50%."

Bob began his career in 1978 as a research engineer working for CONSOL Energy. From there he progressed through various levels of coal mine management. In 2001, he accepted the position of leased mineral supervisor. In this capacity, Bob managed all of CONSOL's coal and gas royalty income. In August 2005, he joined CNX Gas as Director of Business Development.

Bob holds a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering and a master of science in mining engineering from Penn State University. In addition, he holds an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh.
