Coleman Cable, Southwire Announce Expiration Of HSR Waiting Period

(RTTNews) - Coleman Cable, Inc. (CCIX) and Southwire Co. announced the expiration of the waiting period under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act of 1976 relating to the previously announced tender offer for all outstanding shares of common stock of Coleman by Southwire and its wholly-owned subsidiary Cubs Acquisition Corp.

The offer is at a price of $26.25 per share in cash. The tender offer condition relating to the expiration of the applicable waiting period has been satisfied. The tender offer and withdrawal rights are scheduled to expire on February 3.

Southwire, a privately-held wire and cable producers, last month has agreed to buy Coleman Cable for $492 million, as the company tries to enhance its market presence.
