Curis Q2 Loss Widens - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Biotechnology company Curis, Inc. (CRIS) reported that second-quarter net loss sharply widened to $8.13 million or $0.06 per share from $1.90 million or $0.02 per share in the prior-year quarter.

Total revenues and sales for the quarter dropped to $2.08 million from $4.80 million in the same quarter last year.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report loss of $0.06 per share and revenues of $3.49 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Operating expenses for the quarter grew to $9.5 million from $6.3 million in the year-ago quarter.

The Company has revised its 2015 financial guidance for research and development expenses for 2015 to a range of $30 million to $35 million, down from the prior forecast range of $37 million to $42 million.
