Curtiss-Wright Q1 Results Top Estimates; Backs FY15 View

(RTTNews) - Curtiss-Wright Corp. (CW) reported net income for the first quarter of $16.0 million or $0.33 per share, compared to $35.2 million or $0.72 per share for the year-ago quarter.

Income from continuing operations for the first quarter was $43.2 million or $0.89 per share, compared to $36.4 million or $0.74 per share in the prior year quarter.

Net sales for the first quarter increased 1% to $546.20 million from $542.96 million a year earlier.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.79 per share on revenue of $532.18 million for the first quarter.

Looking forward, the company maintained its full year 2015 guidance for sales of $2.28 billion to $2.33 billion and earnings of $3.80 to $3.90 per share. Analysts currently expect the company to earn $3.90 per share on revenue of $2.31 billion for the full year 2015.
