Cynosure Q2 Results Top Estimates

(RTTNews) - Cynosure, Inc. (CYNO) reported net income for the second quarter of $4.6 million or $0.20 per share, compared to a net loss of $9.0 million or $0.54 per share for the year-ago quarter.

Excluding items, adjusted net income for the second quarter was $7.1 million or $0.32 per share, compared to $5.4 million or $0.31 per share in the prior year quarter.

Total revenues for the second quarter increased 45% to $72.57 million from $50.09 million a year ago.

Analyst polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.29 per share on revenue of $71.15 million for the second quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
