Daktronics Q2 EPS Declines - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Daktronics, Inc. (DAKT) Tuesday said second-quarter net income fell to $7.7 million, or $0.18 per share from $11.8 million, or $0.27 per share reported last year.

On average, three analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected earnings of $0.25 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Net sales rose to $173.1 million from $161.6 million in the prior year. Analysts expected revenues of $166.25 million.

Orders were $149.1 million compared to $127.0 million for the second quarter of fiscal 2014.

Looking ahead, the firm said the timing of large contracts has been and will continue to be difficult to predict.

The stock, which closed up 2.3 percent at $13.71 on Monday, fell 3.4 percent in pre-market activity.
