Darling Announces Diamond Green Diesel Commencing Start-Up Process

(RTTNews) - Darling Ingredients Inc (DAR) said Wednesday the Diamond Green Diesel ("DGD") facility in Norco, LA, the company's joint venture with Valero Energy Corp, commenced the start-up process on September 15, following a fire incident on August 3.

The quicker than expected turn-around should bring DGD back into full production by next week. As previously announced, the name-plate capacity will be increased to 11,000 barrels per day of input feedstock, the company said.

Darling, based in Irving, Texas, produces natural ingredients from edible and inedible bio-nutrients.
