David Parker Joins Piper Jaffray as Head of Technology M&A

MENLO PARK, Calif., June 10 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Piper Jaffray & Co. is pleased to announce that David Parker has joined the firm as head of Technology M&A. Parker will be based in the Piper Jaffray Menlo Park office and will help further develop the firm's Technology M&A franchise.

Parker joins the firm from Thomas Weisel Partners, where he was one of two senior partners leading the M&A practice for the past six years. In that time period, Parker was involved in transactions aggregating in excess of $65 billion. Prior to that, Parker worked at Montgomery Securities for three years in San Francisco and at Chase Securities for six years in New York. He received his bachelor's degree from the School of Business Administration at Georgetown University and his master's of business administration degree from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
