DGAP-News: Afrika Gold AG: Update regarding

The participation of Afrika Gold AG, the Lancaster Mine in South Africa, was attacked for the penultimate two nights.

There were several casualties on the attackers' side and serious injuries among the mine's security forces. There was considerable material damage to the offices, but the production facilities remained undamaged so far.

Our thoughts are with our employees who have tried to defend our property. We immediately requested increased security forces, as further attacks are probable. They have now secured the mine.

This situation hits the mine in a situation in which an agreement is currently being reached with all creditors regarding an extensive debt-equity swap and concrete promising plans exist for the then largely debt-free company.

In order to finance the increased security measures (additional security forces and fences, etc.), the company needs an additional 200,000 euros at short notice.

If these funds are not available until Easter, insolvency would have to be applied for. Shareholders who are willing to support Africa Gold through possible short-term capital measures are requested to contact the company.
