Munich, 28 November 2016. GIEAG Immobilien AG (GIEAG) today announced the launch of another major commercial property project in the Stuttgart metropolitan area. For this purpose, the company has acquired a 12,500 sqm developed plot of land in Gerlingen, which it plans to use for the construction of a multi-storey office and commercial property. The company will invest a double-digit million euro amount in this project.

As early as the next weeks, GIEAG will start dismantling parts of the existing, mixed-use commercial property on the plot in Gerlingen's Dieselstraße. The plot's and building's structure offers space for individual usage scenarios. Construction of the new multi-storey office and commercial property with a potential gross floor area of up to 25,000 sqm is scheduled to begin in 2017. GIEAG plans to complete and sell the project by 2019.

The most recent construction project is already the fourth project executed by GIEAG in the Stuttgart region, where the company is building on its successful track record: One of the largest projects in company history - OASIS II with a volume in the mid-double digit million euro range - was followed by the "Maybachstraße" project, which also has an investment volume of more than EUR 50 million.
