Diamond Foods Results Top Estimate; FY Outlook Weak - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Diamond Foods Inc (DMND) Thursday reported fourth-quarter net loss of $1.9 million or $0.06 per share compared with a loss of $143.7 million or $6.56 per share last year.

Excluding items, adjusted earnings for the quarter were $0.19 per share compared with earnings of $0.10 per share a year ago.

Revenues for the quarter were $219 million compared with $199.8 million in the prior year.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters estimated earnings of $0.15 per share on revenues of $208.4 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Looking ahead to the full year 2015, the company expects adjusted earnings of $0.90 to $1.10 per share, while analysts expect $1.18 per share.
