Dividend Dates and Distribution Amounts Announced for Certain BlackRock Closed-End Funds

Today, the BlackRock closed-end funds listed below announced distributions. In addition, four equity funds, BlackRock Real Asset Equity Trust (NYSE:BCF), BlackRock Enhanced Dividend AchieversTM Trust (NYSE:BDJ), BlackRock International Growth and Income Trust (NYSE:BGY), and BlackRock World Investment Trust (NYSE:BWC) (collectively, the "Funds”) are moving from a monthly to a quarterly distribution schedule. The affected funds’ distributions, as declared below, are payable September 30, 2008 to shareholders of record as of September 15, 2008. The Funds’ initial quarterly distribution is equivalent to three times the most recent monthly distribution amount. Subsequent distributions for the Funds will be made on a quarterly basis, as declared by the Funds’ Boards of Directors. The Funds’ change in distribution policy is intended to permit BlackRock to manage the Funds’ distribution levels in a more efficient manner. Under Rule 19b-1 under the Investment Company Act of 1940, as amended, the frequency with which a registered investment company can distribute long-term capital gains is generally limited to two distributions per year, unless exemptive relief has been granted by the Securities and Exchange Commission ("SEC”). Certain BlackRock closed-end funds, including the Funds, have submitted an application to the SEC requesting Rule 19b-1 relief; however, there is no guarantee that such relief will be granted. The Funds’ change in distribution policy is anticipated to result in greater operational efficiencies and may potentially result in reduced administrative costs in connection with the distribution of Section 19 Notices. Section 19 Notices report estimated amounts of a Fund's current distributions paid from net investment income, net realized capital gains and return of capital based on the Fund's respective fiscal year end.
