Dreamcatcher Project: iOS App that Makes it Easy to Record and Remember Dreams
SAN FRANCISCO, July 31, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Launching today, the Dreamcatcher Project is an app that allows users to record dreams effortlessly. This alarm clock triggers speech to text so users can relay their dreams the moment they wake up. The app then stores the recorded dream in a text format that users can save, edit, and share.
With a goal of being a truly global project, the app has been localized for 10 languages around the world. The Dreamcatcher Project collects shared dream data via keywords on a map so users can see potential trends or connected themes on a global level.
Dreams are a phenomenon of the brain, and a way to tap into one's subconscious. It has been proven that recording dreams leads to remembering them better, and DreamCatcher makes this easily achievable.
"We sat down with a goal; make something awesome that will better peoples lives, which is actually pretty tough being a team of four, but once we focused on dreams we realized it was achievable," says Brett Red, co-founder of WeeShip. co. "It was so fun to make, right away we were getting positive feedback from testers all over the world." By empowering people to record their dreams, remember them better, DreamCatcher is allowing people to explore their minds on a whole new level.
